TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

The Broker — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for beginners.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works depends on you.

The Bonus

TabTrade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
